Wall
The 31-square-mile municipality in southern Monmouth County lies just west of several of the Jersey Shore’s toniest beach towns, like Spring Lake, Sea Girt and Manasquan. Despite this proximity, several sections of Wall have maintained much of the rural atmosphere of an area that was once largely farmland. In addition to the ocean, just a mile or two away from the eastern parts of Wall, there are rivers, woodlands and a state park that provide fishing, boating, biking and camping.

Wall Township Homes
Wall is a town of many neighborhoods. Within the neighborhoods, there is a broad range of housing, including multimillion-dollar mansions that line the Manasquan River, farm properties on large tracts, bungalows and Cape Cods. Most common in Wall are sizable homes, each on a half-acre to an acre and built in the last 20 to 30 years as farmers sold their land to developers. Local farms offer horseback riding and pick-your-own produce. There are several parks and golf courses, as well as public beaches in the adjacent towns.
The 59-mile drive from Wall to New York City via the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike takes just over an hour, traffic permitting. New Jersey Transit trains to New York Penn Station from Spring Lake, Manasquan and Belmar. Academy Bus has service from a park and ride at mile marker 100 on the Garden State Parkway to the Port Authority Bus Terminal or Wall Street.
Wall Township Schools
Four public elementary schools serve students in kindergarten to Grade 5: Allenwood, Central, Old Mill and West Belmar. A full-day kindergarten is offered throughout the district. Wall Primary School serves preschool students, including those with special needs. The intermediate school has approximately 900 students, while Wall High School has approximately 1,200 students. The Communications High School is one of five countywide vocational schools. There are also several private schools in nearby towns.
