Just a square mile in size, and currently home to just over 2,000 residents, Sea Girt was incorporated as a Borough in 1917. It is bordered to the east by a magnificent beach and the Atlantic Ocean, while the tidal Wreck Pond dominates its northern edge. The southern area of Sea Girt remains largely undeveloped down to Stockton Lake, and the western edge of town is separated from neighboring Wall Township by the railroad.
As well as its stunning beach, Sea Girt home owners can also enjoy the expansive Crescent Park, a large recreational area in the south east of the Borough.

Families can take advantage of the educational facilities provided by Sea Girt Elementary School, which caters for students in kindergarten through to eighth grade.
