About Diane Turton

 

After achieving remarkable success as a real estate agent in the 1970’s, Diane Turton earned her broker's license in 1974.  Based on her successful track record, Diane had the confidence and courage to open her first Diane Turton, Realtors office in Bay Head, New Jersey in 1986. 

 

Today, Diane Turton, Realtors is a full-service real estate company with 17 sales offices throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties, an affiliate location serving the Southeast Florida coast and a Corporate Centre in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.  The firm, consistently voted Best Real Estate Agency in Ocean County and One of the Best Real Estate Agencies in Monmouth County by the annual Asbury Park Press Reader’s Choice awards, serves all real estate needs including sales and rentals in addition to mortgage, title and insurance services.  The company is staffed with nearly 500 sales associates along with a full-time management/support staff.  In 2007 Diane Turton, Realtors closed nearly $1 Billion in sales volume.   

 

A nationally recognized leader, Diane is a sought-after board member, motivational speaker and media spokesperson. Recently, The Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents announced Diane Turton one of 12 new members elected to its Executive Committee. Members of this Executive Committee, representing some of the most prominent brokers in the world, act as leaders for real estate brokers and firms around the world and also guide the Board of Regents program.  Diane has also spoken at many major national and international conferences, most notably she’s credited as keynote speaker at the Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate Conference, the nation's leading independent real estate news service.  In addition, Diane is a recurring speaker for Leading Real Estate Companies of the WorldTM, the largest national real estate network for independent brokers and the highest producing of all networks and franchises.  Finally Diane participates in the ongoing United Way of Ocean County Leadership series that includes educational seminars, presentations and mentoring by women for women. 

 

One of Diane's most recent professional accomplishments include being named a national award nominee for Ernst & Young's National Entrepreneur® of the Year Award, one of the world's most prestigious business awards.  Recognized globally, the award honors the most outstanding entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership, and achievement.   In 2008 Diane was recognized by the  new highly regarded local publication 40°47° Magazine as one of the “40 People Who Make a Difference” in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  In addition, Enterprising Women Magazine named Diane one of its 2006 Enterprising Women of the Year in which she was chosen from among 400 entries.  Also in 2006, Diane was recognized by NJ BIZ Magazine as one of New Jersey's Best 50 Women in Business.  NJ BIZ has also recognized Diane Turton, Realtors for the past three consecutive years as the #1 Woman-Owned business in New Jersey. 

 

Community Service

 

In addition to contributing much of her time to a number of local, state and national boards including the Board of Directors for Friends of Dottie's House and the Advisory Board for the American Red Cross, Jersey Coast Chapter, Diane actively participates in a wide range of community activities and supports many deserving causes, charities, fundraisers and drives. Her efforts have helped thousands of people and have earned her numerous awards and recognitions including nomination for LuxuryRealEstate.com’s Extraordinary Philanthropist honor.  Diane was one of eight nominees recognized for their socially responsible activities during the 13th Annual Luxury Real Estate Conference in 2008.  Additional philanthropic recognitions for Diane  and Diane Turton, Realtors include "Humanitarian of the Year," National Conference for Community and Justice, Jersey Shore Chapter, 2006; "Distinguished Citizen of the Year," together with husband, Bruce Turton, Boy Scouts, Jersey Shore Council, 2005; "Clara Barton Humanitarian Award," American Red Cross, Jersey Coast Chapter, 2005; "Community Service Award," The Luxury, 2004, the 2004 ATHENA Award that honors those that have achieved success in their profession and have given back in a significant way to their community and more. 

 

Diane is committed to the communities served and participates in many community projects which includes a scholarship that is donated to both the Point Pleasant Beach and Point Pleasant Borough High Schools every year.  In addition, she is an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce groups and partakes in many chamber events including the annual Halloween Parade and Easter Egg Hunt.  During the holiday season, Diane rallies her company together to sponsor less fortunate families with children to provide them with food and gifts for the holidays.  In addition, Diane is a major sponsor of the Festival of the Sea Concert Series with Father Alphonse, Habitat for Humanity and the American Cancer Society.

 

Last year, Diane and her company contributed over 1,300 toys, gift certificates and new clothes items to the Salvation Army and Family and Children's services as part of Diane Turton, Realtors annual Turton Giving Tree program.  And, after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Diane and the Turton Team raised over $20,000 for relief efforts.

 

Family

 

Diane and her husband, Bruce Turton, have been married for more than 30 years and reside in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey.  They have two grown sons. David, a graduate of Rider College in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Jason, a graduate of the University of Vermont.  Both live locally and are part of the Diane Turton, Realtors team.

 

In 2007 Diane and Bruce welcomed their first grandchild, Willa B. Turton, born to Jason and his wife Becky.

 

Professional Education and Licenses

 

Diane attended Rider College in Lawrenceville, NJ where she majored in real estate and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce. Diane became a licensed agent in 1966 at the age of 19 and received her broker's license in 1974.    She received her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation in 1989 and went on to receive her CRB (Certified Residential Broker and LTG (Leadership Training Graduate) designation in 1990.
